The most common respiratory protection is dust masks.
In terms of filter efficiency, this protection is divided into 3 protection classes:
class 1 - (FFP1) - filtration efficiency at the level of 80% - products in this category are used to protect against solid and liquid particles with low toxicity (NDS ≥ 2 mg / m3), when the maximum concentration is no more than 4x NDS, (yellow fastening system)
class 2 - (FFP2) - filtration efficiency at the level of 94% - products in this category are used to protect against solid and liquid particles of low or medium toxicity (TLV ≥ 0.05 mg / m3), as the maximum concentration is maximum 10xNDS, (blue fastening system)
class 3 - (FFP3) - filtration efficiency at the level of 97% - products in this category are used for protection against solid or liquid particles of high toxicity (TLV <0.05 mg / m3), if the maximum concentration is not higher than 20x TLV. (red fastening system)
